Who We Are
Deaf Village Northwest is a community-led organisation dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible space for Deaf people and their families. Based at the historic Moon Mill in Blackburn, we provide a wide range of services from wellbeing support and residential care to BSL-led activities, training, and community events.
At our heart, we are more than a place we are a community. A place where Deaf culture is celebrated, barriers are broken down, and everyone feels welcome.

Our unique support
package model
Our Deaf Hub offers a unique support package for our Deaf Clients.
Each client that is referred or comes to us for support is matched with a native Deaf Wellbeing Officer, who offers a full communication support package, they also act as a role model for the Deaf client to enable them support and access to goods, services, education, training and employment.
