Our Partnership With Blackburn With Darwan Council
Deaf Village is proud to work with Blackburn with Darwen Council to improve Deaf awareness and communication across local services.
As part of the partnership, we have delivered Deaf Awareness sessions for Council teams, including Adult Social Care, and have been invited to give presentations at the Council.
These sessions help staff better understand Deaf people’s experiences and how to make their services more accessible.
Donna is a BwD spokesperson and works closely with teams across the Council, including Refresh. We value the strong relationships built through this partnership and look forward to continuing our work together.
