Deaf Village Group recently hosted a fantastic Halloween event, bringing together the Deaf community for an afternoon of fun, creativity and connection in a fully accessible environment.
The event was packed with spooky activities, games and themed decorations, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages. From fancy dress and crafts to interactive activities, the focus was on inclusion, enjoyment and community spirit — with British Sign Language at the heart of everything.
Events like this play an important role in supporting wellbeing. They provide opportunities for people to socialise, build confidence and feel part of a safe and supportive Deaf-led space. For many attendees, the Halloween event was not just about celebration, but about connection and belonging.
Our team and volunteers worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the event was accessible, engaging and enjoyable for everyone. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, creative costumes and shared moments throughout the day.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. Deaf Village Group looks forward to hosting more community events that bring people together, celebrate Deaf culture and create positive experiences for all.
